Yuzen opened in 2006. Our Head Chef, Kiyo Hanamoto has been creating non-sushi delicacies for more than a decade and brings to the table breadth of culinary experience from her studies at the prestigious Tusji Culinary Academy. Her specialty dishes consist of versatile seafood as well as poultry dishes. She holds a license to prepare fugu ( pufferfish ) - one of the most celebrated and notorious dishes in Japanese cuisine. Please note Yuzen does not serve this at this time. Our Head Sushi Chef, Takaya Hanamoto aka "Gunsan" has been preparing and creating sushi dishes for over 15 years. A big Hanshin Tigers Fan and a crowd pleasure - Gunsan cooks up a storm and has the charm to match it.
